16th German American Conference at Harvard Kennedy School
15.11. - 17.11.2024, Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA)The largest student-led conference on transatlantic relations in the United States
The German American Conference hosted by students at Harvard Kennedy School will take place November 15-17, 2024 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This annual conference facilitates transatlantic dialogue through a variety of events, including keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities. Inviting speakers from the United States and Germany, we offer the opportunity to hear diverse perspectives from individuals shaping the future of US-German collaboration.
Hear from diverse speakers, for example:
- Dr. Tom Price: 23rd Secretary of Health and Human Services; Former Congressman for the State of Georgia; Former Chairman of the House Budget Committee
- Dr. Danyal Bayaz: Minister of Finance in Baden-Württemberg
- Claudia Plattner: President of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI); Former Board Member at the European Central Bank and Deutsche Bahn
- Thomas Kleine-Brockhoff: Director of the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP)
- Roderich Kiesewetter: Member of the Bundestag (CDU)
This year’s motto "Hard Conversations” acknowledges the prevalence of conflict in today’s world and underscores the necessity of difficult conversations to forge common ground. Considering the conference timing after the US presidential election, fostering strong transatlantic connections is more important than ever.
