From Polycrisis to Possibility

The German ALTOP publishing house is launching forum future economy, a new international platform and starts with a lighthouse magazine dedicated to showcasing solutions for a regenerative, just, and future-ready economy. Developed through a global co-creation process, the magazine is published in collaboration with partners from different regions of the world and brings together perspectives from business, politics, civil society, and innovation ecosystems.

At a time marked by overlapping global crises - climate change, biodiversity loss, geopolitical tensions, and social fragmentation - forum future economy shifts the focus from problem analysis to possibility. The magazine makes visible what often remains unseen: practical solutions, scalable business models, and pioneering initiatives that are already working today. 

Rather than presenting a single narrative, forum future economy is designed as a magazine and online-platform for exchange and collaboration. It will be co-created with regional partners, ensuring local relevance while contributing to a shared global learning process. This approach allows successful ideas to travel across sectors, cultures, and geographies - and supports the transfer and scaling of proven solutions.

The first issue features examples ranging from clean and profitable technologies validated by the Solar Impulse Foundation to regenerative agriculture and tourism initiatives that foster peace and livelihoods, and projects that transform refugee camps into regenerative ecosystems. 

All articles illustrate a central message: transformation is already underway—and it can be accelerated through cooperation.

Beyond technological and economic innovation, forum future economy emphasizes the cultural and human dimensions of change. The magazine aligns itself with both the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Inner Development Goals (IDGs), highlighting the importance of empathy, collaboration, foresight, and responsibility as foundations for lasting transformation.

Published by ALTOP Publishing House in collaboration with international partners, forum future economy invites people, projects and organizations worldwide to join the forum, contribute their perspectives, and actively participate in shaping an economy that is fit for life, not just for profit.
